Kim has over 37 years of trial, litigation and appellate experience in the Circuit Courts for Cook, Will, DuPage and Lake Counties in Illinois, the Federal District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois as well as other Federal District Courts (nationally). He has also appeared in multiple Administrative Courts and Tribunals in Cook County (including appearing before the Chicago Police Board and the Chicago Firemen’s Annuity Board).
He served as an Assistant State’s Attorney from 1981 through 1992 where he was assigned to juvenile and adult prosecutions, (including recidivist offenders) as well as the prosecution of child abuse cases. He served as the Deputy Supervisor of the Juvenile Division for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office from 1991 through 1992 before entering private practice.
