Tat-Yeung Shiu

Tat-Yeung Shiu concentrates his practice in tort defense, product liability defense, and construction law as well as commercial litigation. He successfully defended numerous national and foreign product manufacturers in products liability lawsuits nationwide. He also represented a major Chicago general contractor and institutional owners in construction delay and defect cases through mediations and arbitrations.

He represented private and institutional owners in negotiating various construction contracts with different general contractors. Prior to studying law, Mr. Shiu worked for more than a decade as a professional architect. He was a registered architect in the state of Illinois and certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He still carries his LEED Professional accreditation. In terms of foreign languages, he is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
